Overview:
Coordinates and participates in activities involved with receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping products by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities:
Compiles data from sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, and accounting reports and writes, types, or inputs information into computer to maintain inventory, debits and credits or other records.
Compiles inventory control records and information such as error rates and return reason codes.
Compares inventory quantities, suggests substitutes to the purchasing department, and other listed information with references to verify accuracy or requisitions and shipping orders.
Assist with driver check-in and input returns, inventory credits and inventory adjustments.
May assist with inventory product checks for location discrepancies.
Read delivery schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
Conveys which items/products from receiving areas are ready for placement in the warehouse or to other designated areas.
Sorts and stores some goods in refrigerated rooms.
Monitors and tracks shipments in route and assists the purchasing department with estimated days of arrivals.
Marks received inventory or POS with identifying information to aid warehouse with placement.
Arranges stock in specified sequence for distribution by other workers.
Records sales or delivery information on delivery records.
Listen to and resolves service complaints.
Monitors the warehouse unsalesables and breakages.
Obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.
Warehouse and facility management, not limited to operating floor cleaner, wiping down countertops and products.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
