The General Service Technician provides general services for vehicle maintenance and repair, such as oil changes, tire rotation and replacement, etc., and does so in a safe, efficient, and productive manner. Under the guidance of an Experienced Technician, the Service Tech assists in vehicle repairs, operates vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, and interacts with customers in a courteous and friendly manner. The Service tech assists in maintaining shop condition/appearance, practices safety procedures, promotes shop policies, and follows environmental rules. He/She also helps ensure the shop runs in an efficient manner by performing duties such as inventory stocking and other general functions.
The ideal Midas Hawaii General Service Technician has a high school diploma/GED, an affinity for automotive maintenance/repair, an unrestricted driver''s license and clean driving record, and a strong desire to learn and grow with our business.
The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Change oil, change/rotate tires, and perform minor maintenance/repair tasks as assigned
-- Expertly check all fluids and maintenance-related parts and top-off or replace fluids or filters/parts as required
-- Possess an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles'' complex components work and interact
-- Perform routine visual inspections, test, change engine oil/filter, lubricate chassis, and other major components
-- Drive vehicles in and around the premises as needed
-- Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry
-- Perform routine vehicle servicing activities as directed
-- Know and adhere to safety and environmental standards for maintenance/repair facilities-

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
