Summary:
The Director of Operations is accountable for the timely and effective planning, development and execution of all warehousing and transportation activities, the development of all operations staff, as well as the safety, security and maintenance of warehouse facilities.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
The Director of Operations will direct and control the logistical and operational effectiveness of the warehouse, delivery and fleet operations within a defined Company or Market Unit.
Assure systems are in place to create timely and accurate delivery of all products to maintain a high level of efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained and timely reorders are placed and scheduled.
Responsible for maximizing fleet utilization.
Execution of warehouse and distribution initiatives such as:
budget management, procurement, labor relations, talent development and productivity initiatives.
Responsible for compliance to budget and cost performance.
Oversee and ensure budgetary compliance for all building and maintenance programs.
Responsible for OSHA compliance and Audit procedures.
Ensure that all procedures, practices and equipment are within guidelines set by OSHA and suppliers.
Responsible for inventory accuracy and oversight of all incoming freight.
Coordinate and develop special training programs as needed for personnel.
Other projects or duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Required Skills and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 8
years of related experience including 5 years of people leadership experience; or High School Diploma and 12
years of related experience including 7
years of people leadership experience.
Firsthand knowledge of Warehouse Management systems.
Collaborative leadership style.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Problem solving capabilities.
Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Organization and planning skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to travel as necessary up to 15%.
This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
Preferred Skills and
Experience:
MBA Knowledge of warehouse automation and automated pick systems.
Knowledge of and demonstrated capability with Lean Six Sigma concepts and principles.
